Stout Energy Joins the Conversation at DOE’s Cooling as a Service (CaaS) EVENT IN Abu Dhabi
Stout Energy recently participated in the Cooling as a Service (CaaS) event organized by the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DOE) in collaboration with Guidehouse consultancy. The full-day interactive seminar, held at Rosewood Abu Dhabi, brought together key industry players, policymakers, and service providers to discuss the future of cooling solutions in the UAE.
Speakers at the event included Mohamed Saleh Alhadhrami- Energy & Water Performance Director – Acting DOE, Narayankumar Sreekumar- Industrial Energy Efficiency Senior Specialist – DOE, Dr. Pablo Izquierdo-DOE, Alvaro Lara- Associate Director-Guidehouse, Bolaji Akinola-Alli -Senior Consultant-Guidehouse among several other esteemed guests.
A Platform for Industry Collaboration
The event focused on accelerating the adoption of CaaS, a model that enables businesses to access energy-efficient cooling solutions without upfront capital investment. Through a pay-per-use approach, CaaS shifts financial and operational responsibilities to service providers, ensuring optimized performance and sustainability.
The seminar saw the participation of several building owners, hotel groups, and key stakeholders from the real estate, hospitality, and industrial sectors. These industry leaders engaged in discussions on how CaaS can provide cost-effective and energy-efficient cooling solutions while reducing carbon emissions.
Stout Energy’s Role in the Conversation
Sarath Karottu, Head of Sustainability & Corporate Development at Stout Energy, actively contributed to discussions on how CaaS can drive energy efficiency and carbon reduction in the region. He emphasized the importance of integrating high-performance cooling technologies with smart energy management practices to maximize savings and sustainability. Light was also thrown on how different buildings can adopt different variations or ‘flavours’ of CaaS to suit their requirements.
Our Commitment to Sustainable Cooling
As a leading provider of HVAC solutions, Stout Energy remains committed to pioneering sustainable and cost-effective cooling technologies. Our participation in this event aligns with our vision of promoting energy efficiency and supporting innovative business models that drive long-term value for clients.
